The StudyAnything story
Well, you've gotta start somewhere. Daniel has owned the website www.studyanything.com since 2004, with the idea of making a gumtree of tutoring,
but as you know, life does get busy, and so it took until 2011 to get the website up and running in it's current manisfestation.
Part of that time, Daniel was writing a program and website, 'QuickCram', which is still planned for release, as a free education tool,
which will allow the users of this site to accumulate and pass on knowledge by creating lessons online.
Daniel opened up the StudyAnything Cape Town office in February 2011, and the website is going strong. Daniel asked his friend David if he'd
work as the company's primary contact, and the rest is history.
It is still early days, and we're finding interest from all over. Google ads is an amazing thing. We know it takes time before word of mouth can
become the main source of students, but we can start by saying that our first 3 tutors to sign up had 20 matric distinctions between them,
so we've got the talent.
It is our hope that this website grows, to the point that most subjects have tutors ready to teach them, and that the culture of learning
pervades our rainbow nation, in the fight against ignorance. StudyAnything is a business, because it has business expenses that need to be covered,
but like any project made with love, it is for everyone, and it will keep getting better.

for the upgrade to "No Child Left Behind" for the education management software used by the school districts of Los Angeles and Berkeley, California,
so he is no stranger to science-based education processes.
Daniel grew up in South Africa, and studied in California, where he learned his ninja programming skills.

David worked for years in the KGB, interrogating informants, and will now grill tutors to make sure they know their stuff.
But no, David is our network administrator, and a technician by trade. He administers the website and handles phone calls and emails.
